La Mesa Residence

Located in one of the most iconic streets in the city of Santa Monica, La Mesa residence is an update to a mid-century modern home. Exterior volumes were broken by adding expansive skylights that continues as curtain wall and entry door.
The existing basement was flooded with natural light by partially removing the floor above it, making it a double-height living room with expansive views over the old Polo Hills to Brentwood Hills and the Santa Monica Mountains beyond.
A new 2-storey addition that complements the existing home is the ADU with the wellness center below it - gym, sauna with plunge pool outside all serve as urban oasis. 

With an abundance of natural lights, high ceiling, unobstructed views, and interior finishes such as stone and wood - this home was designed with wellness in mind.
